Thursday Tittle-Tattle #87

Hope, Freedom, Love just wouldn’t feel complete without my 'Thursday Tittle Tattle' series! 'Thursday Tittle Tattle' has to be my longest running blog series and its home to the posts that get the best feedback from my readers. I absolutely love that you guys come back time and time again to read my 'Thursday Tittle Tattle' posts, so it was only right to continue these in 2017. This series is dedicated to breaking news of the beauty world, where most Thursday’s I bring you all the exciting news (including beauty and lifestyle news, events, discounts and even a bit of fashion news thrown in too)! This week I have lots of exciting news to show you, let’s dive in…

Tiffany & Co move into perfume
We all know and love premier jeweller Tiffany & Co – founded in New York in 1837 and instantly a huge hit with socialites, magnates and heads of state. For the last 180 years, Tiffany have gone from strength to strength, with its famous Blue Box now an instantly recognizable symbol of style, sophistication and innovation. Now Tiffany & Co have entered a new chapter, offering a new fragrance, which they say unleashes the essence of the brand in all of its purity. They’ve created a sparkling floral musk scent – with a mix of vibrant top notes of vert de mandarine and a heart of precious iris flower as the hero ingredient. Patchouli base notes wrapped in a blend of soothing musks finishes the scent off nicely. Of course, the packaging for this fragrance is just as exquisite, taking inspiration from Tiffany’s most iconic diamond cuts.

Beautiful Christmas sets from Ted Baker
If like me, you’re a big fan of Ted Baker products, you are going to LOVE the collection from them this season. This Christmas they’ve released lots of beautiful gifts, but my favourite of them all is the Ted Baker Bow inspired collection. First up they have the ‘Ted Baker Beauty Bow’ (retailing for £24) which includes a 30ml fragrance (either Polly, Mia or Ella) packaged up with a bejewelled compact mirror. They also have the ‘Mini Bow’ (retailing for £10 each), which features a 5ml fragrance (again of wither Polly, Mia or Ella), but this time with a dainty mini nail polish. You can purchase the Mini Bow individually, or you can pick them up in a set of three for £26. This is just a sprinkling of what Ted Baker have on offer this Christmas, they have tons of beautiful gifts which I highly recommend checking out!

NYX Contour Intuitive Palettes
Who doesn’t love a new NYX product? The new NYX Contour Intuitive Palettes (retailing for £18 each) look incredible! The palettes are an Eye and Face Sculpting Palette, with six eyeshadows, two highlighters and one blush. There are lots of different colour variations, which have each been designed to work perfectly together. Simply mix and match any of powders inside each palette, to easily create a super-sculpted glow. The palettes are available now, exclusively at Selfridges.

Tanya Burr Selfie Story Collection

I’ve always been a fan of Tanya Burr’s cosmetic line and fondly being wowed by the collection when it first launched. The line offers good quality cosmetics, which follow some of the hottest trends, but don’t break the bank! Perfect for Tanya’s fans, but also those of us who just love a makeup bargain (who doesn’t?!).

The Tanya Burr Cosmetics team have launched a sneaky extra collection, just slipping in before the Christmas rush. The new release is named the ‘Selfie Story Collection’, which Tanya has said has been two years in the making! The new range is made up of three lovely products, which are all made to make your eye makeup a little more swish. All three of the products are packaged in lovely swish packaging, featuring a luxe gold base, finished with pretty black lettering. It’s incredibly pretty and far out performs its price tag.

Selfie Sculpt Brow Pencil*
One of my favourite things to test and trial is eyeshadow pencils! I’m not particularly skilled with my eyebrows, so for me they just need to be fool proof. As with most other brow pencils on the market, the Selfie Sculpt Brow Pencil is double ended – on one side you’ll find the pencil and on the other, you’ll find the spoolie brush. The shape of the pencil is very similar to the Hourglass Arch Sculpting Brow Pencil, which essentially is a rectangular shape. These shapes are quite handy, as you can either fill the bulk of the brow with the flat edge, or use the edge to do smaller brush strokes. The Selfie Sculpt Brow Pencil is available in three shades, which hopefully covers a broad range of skin tones.

Selfie Flick Eyeliner*
I’m not the biggest eyeliner fan, as it’s just not something I use on a daily basis, but the Selfie Flick Eyeliner is very interesting. The Selfie Flick Eyeliner has a very long handle, which is designed to give you lots of control over application. It also has a long thin brush, which is actually a little bit flexible. What I like the most is the formulation, it’s a jet-black colour, which dries quickly on the skin and doesn’t smudge or move around on the eye.

Selfie Lash*
I was really excited to try Selfie Lash as Tanya always has incredible lashes, so I thought this would not disappoint. When you unscrew the lid, you find a long brush handle, which has a little rubber brush on the end. The brush is actually fairly small and is a long, thin design. The mascara brush is really flexible, which means you can get a lot of movement as you apply the mascara. Now I really like a dramatic lash and am naturally blessed with long lashes, so I really just need the volume. Whilst the mascara adds a lot of length, for me it takes two or three coats to build up to my desired effect. The good news is that it builds really well and you have perfect control over how much or how little to apply.

The Selfie Story is available online right now and is retailing at both Superdrug and Feel Unique. When you consider that everything is priced at less that £7, it offers really great value for money. I love the gold packaging of these, meaning they would make lovely stocking filler gifts this Christmas!

New Aromasoul collection from comfort zone

If you’ve never heard of Comfort Zone, you have some serious catching up to do! Not only are they a fabulous spa brand with amazing products, but their whole ethos is beautiful! They pride themselves on not “just” supplying skincare products, but promoting a healthy way of life. Comfort Zone’s products are packed with beautiful ingredients, encouraging us all to really look at the formulations we put on our face. Comfort Zone’s latest release is the Aromasoul collection, which they describe as a “journey of four worlds”.

The Aromasoul collection is a new body collection, packed with essential oils and aromatic scents, which nourish and tone the skin. The scent of the collection has been inspired by a blend of different cultures and includes both home care products and a host of new professional treatments. As always, the Comfort Zone treatment sounds incredible! The Aromasoul Element Massage takes you on a journey around the world, featuring the Orient, the Mediterranean, India and the Berbers desert tribe.

The home care products are all featured about the Mediterranean scent, which is said to be inspired by the waves of the ocean, offering an awakening, refreshing, relieving, fresh scent. The products are a beautiful blend of mandarin, basil, bergamot, orange, lemon and oregano. Let’s take a look at the lovely products in the collection!

Aromasoul Mediterranean Shower Gel* & Aromasoul Mediterranean Body Cream*
A pretty soft shower gel – a lovely creamy, delicate foam formula cleanses the skin and protects the skin with a rich set of essential oils. The shower gel includes basil, lemon, mandarin, anise and lavender works, which each work together to combat stress and ease tensions. It’s such a beautiful way to start (or finish the day), especially if like me you’ve been waking up at 5AM. The Mediterranean Body Cream includes lots of the same lovely ingredients, but in a rich luxurious cream thanks to the addition of shea butter. Use this after the shower gel to carry the scent into the day, while the cream boosts the skins elasticity and protects the surface of the skin.

Aromasoul Mediterranean Candle* & Aromasoul Mediterranean Room Spray
If you prefer to scent your home (rather than your body) with aromatherapy products, these two products are for you! First of all, we have the Aromasoul Mediterranean Candle, which offers extracts of gardenia, jasmine, rose and amber. The candle has 50 hours of burn time and uses a wax blend of mineral ingredients and a high percentage of vegetable ingredients. The Aromasoul Mediterranean Room Spray has lovely notes of fresh citrus, juniper, sage and geranium and is a great way to spread the scent all around your home, if you don’t have time to burn a candle.

All the lovely Aromasoul collection products are available now! You can pick them up with Comfort Zone spas and salons, or online from Feel Unique and Fabled. Prices for the Aromasoul collection start at £20 and go up to £30 for the Room Spray.

The Ordinary Colours | The Foundations That Made The Beauty World Go Mad

There are waiting lists and then there are waiting lists filled to the brim with 25,000 beauty fans. When no-nonsense brand The Ordinary announced the launch of their foundations, the whole beauty world went crazy. As people flocked to grab the foundations, the waiting list grew and grew, quickly becoming impossible to maintain. The Ordinary ‘Colours’ were launched with two impressive formulations, which quickly racked up positive review after positive review.

So why exactly did the Colours get the eye of thousands of people? Well, first of all, the foundations were available in 21 shades, offering shades across the shade spectrum. The shades are even identical across the two formulations, meaning that as soon as you were colour matched, you know what you’ll be in all the other products.

Secondly, the foundations offer something for everyone! The Serum Foundation*, offers a natural looking, medium coverage, with a very lightweight, serum texture. Whereas the Coverage Foundation*, offers a rich pigmented finish, which never feels heavy on the skin. Both foundations offer an SPF 15 in the formulation and both have a really handy pump for dispensing the product.

Arguably most importantly – no matter which foundation you pick up, they both perform beautifully and you get exactly the application that The Ordinary describe. Each formula uses pigments that are suspended in a unique spreadability system – essentially this means that the pigment can be spread other the skin easily, offering an even coverage. Both formulations offer a semi-matte finish, which not only leaves the skin feeling natural, but also helps to offer a long-lasting, durable wear.

Oh, and finally – if you’re yet to be convinced, or you’re thinking that sounds too good to be true? Rejoice in the fact that these foundations are £5.70 (for the Serum Foundation) and £5.90 (for the Coverage Foundation) a pop, for 30ml of product! So you don’t need any more excuses to give these bad boys a try! Why not head down to one of the DECIEM stores to get colour matched by the DECIEM experts – you can see why I loved the Old Spitalfields store here. If you don’t have a store nearby, you can check out the full range online on the DECIEM website.

Go 'Naked' with Lush this Christmas

Many people will hate me for saying it, but you know Christmas is on the way when the Lush Christmas range is released – which is exactly what happened last week! Lush have always championed a ‘no fuss, no waste’ packaging approach, but this winter Lush are doing something a little bit different. This year they’ve found new ways to take things even more ‘naked’! All of Lush’s solid products need very little packaging to protect them, which means, as a consumer you are paying more for the ingredients inside, than some fancy packaging. This year, not only are Lush’s soaps and bath bombs packaging free, but also their shower gels, body conditioners and lip scrubs – genius! This equates to a whopping 80% of the Lush Christmas release being packaging free, let’s take a look at some of this year’s products!

Butterbear*
This cutey is called ‘Butterbear’, a gentle bath bomb made for even the most sensitive skins. He is made with Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Powder and Ylang Ylang Oil. When you pop him in the water, he infuses your bath with a warm and creamy vanilla scent. He turns the water a milky colour and the fragrances of cocoa powder and calming ylang ylang is perfect for evening baths!

Shoot for the stars*
I absolutely love this bath bomb, it looks gorgeous and it works wonders in the bath too! This bath bomb is cobalt blue with pretty golden stars added in for good measure – so you can imagine the wonders this does in the bath! As the blue shade fills the bath, the honey-scented golden stars leave a lovely shimmer in the water. The scent is beautiful, thanks to the Brazilian orange and bergamot oils!

Man In The Moon*
When this one arrived, it took me a little while to work out what the design was – but it is in fact the face of the man in the moon! This is a bubble bar made with Neroli Oil, Lime Oil and Olibanum Oil – which are all fantastic for lifting the mood and fighting off the winter blues. Simply crumble this under running water as you run the bath, Man In The Moon will add a beautiful golden lustre to the water. Cocoa butter will leave your skin soft and the oils will help settle you if you’re feeling a little bit stressed.

Golden Pear*
Golden Pear is another one of my favourites this year and I’m so glad that it’s a soap! If you’re anything like me and love fruity, spicy scents in the winter, this one is made for you! The ingredients include Cardamom Oil, Organic Agave Syrup, Brazilian Orange Oil, Almond Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Creamy Coconut and Pear Puree – it’s like it’s been scent (get it) from heaven for my skin! As you use the soap it gently lathers on the skin, while the notes of pear and spices release as you bless the skin with murumuru butter! If you haven’t already guessed, I’m really impressed with this!

Bubbly*
If you thought shower gel without packaging was impossible, think again! This year Lush have gone all out and managed to create shower gels, without the bottles! You simply use your hands to work up a lather and then use the product in the same way, you would any other shower gel. There are a few different options from Lush this Christmas, I have Bubbly, which has Fresh Grape Juice, Lime Oil, Sweet Wild Orange Oil and Vine Leaf Infusion.

Once Upon A Time*
So, you’ve enjoyed a nice bath bomb, filled the bath with a bubble bar and enjoyed a naked shower gel! What’s left? Body lotion! Once Upon A Time is a solid body lotion, designed to be stroked onto the skin. The heat of your skin will melt the lotion, allowing you to use the apple-scented lotion anywhere you need an extra boost. I absolutely love the blend of grapefruit, apple and lemon in this, which feels really fresh, but still with a touch of winter smells.

This is a really impressive range from Lush this Christmas and all these products just scratch the surface with what else is on offer! The Christmas range is already available – grab your favourites from the Lush website, the Oxford Street store and all other Lush stores nationwide.

This 12 day calendar will retail for £66 and has everything a skincare addict needs this season. From the iconic Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. I also love the ‘Heads In The Clouds’ set (retailing for £15), which features a beautiful wash bag, which is packed with loads of Cloudberry & Lychee Blossom treats.

Buyagift #PinkRibbon25 Campaign | Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I always find October to be such an inspirational month – thanks to brands and individuals standing up to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I love that so many brands release special products, or flock to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, giving consumers a whole host of ways to show their own support!

This month Buyagift are joining in the fun, supporting Breast Cancer Care for the 25th anniversary of the pink ribbon. In celebration of the milestone and such an important month, Buyagift will be donating 25% of each sale of selected Smartboxes sold in October to the charity. Whether you’re looking for a treat for yourself, a birthday gift or even some early Christmas presents, this is a great way to show your support.

There are three different Smartboxes involved in the campaign, so there is lots to choose from. First of all, we have the Luxury Pampering Smartbox*, which is the one I have here. This box retails for £79.99 and offers the recipient a chance to relax for an entire afternoon. Choose a pamper day in a variety of locations, with a selection of treatments including a massage, a manicure, a pedicure or a facial!

There are two other boxes which are also part of the campaign. There is the Superwoman Smartbox by Buyagift (retailing for £49.99) which offers the recipient a choice of over 2,600 Afternoon Tea, Relaxing Spa Day and Adrenaline Adventure experience days. The last box option is the Indulgent Pamper Treat Smartbox by Buyagift (retailing for £39.99) which has the option of manicures, pedicures, facials and other beauty treatments.

As always, the money raised will help Breast Cancer Care continue to provide free services to anyone affected by breast cancer. This includes one to one support over the phone with a nurse or someone who’s been there, welcoming online forums offering invaluable peer to peer support, reliable information and face to face support groups. Well done to Buyagift for being part of this years Pink Ribbon campaign! You can help us support Breast Cancer Care by buying a Luxury Pampering, Superwoman and Indulgent Pamper Treat Smartbox online from BuyAGift, or from most Debenhams stores.

I’m engaged! | Wedding Series #1

As I’m writing this I’ve officially been engaged for one month. After nearly 9 years together, I had an inkling that engagement was on the horizon. Yet that moment when Chris was on one knee still feels like one of those “pinch me” moments.

Chris popped the question on the beach at the Seascape Resort in California. It was sunset and we were making s’mores at a private beach fire. Despite the fact we’d had fog all morning, the clouds had parted late afternoon, leaving us with pretty bad sunburn and a lovely warm evening. After making a couple of s’mores and Chris dropping burning hot marshmallow on his foot (ouch!), Chris went to set the timer on our camera for a selfie. Little did I know that he’d actually set the camera to record before hopping after and presenting me with a gorgeous ring. It really was the most magical moment in the whole of our month long sabbatical, something I’ll never ever forget!

As I say, I really had strong feeling we’d come back engaged after our amazing three week road trip. Yet that exact moment really left me in a state of shock! I was completely overwhelmed with so many emotions, that I actually felt a little bit sick! After all, I’m a hopeless romantic and that was the moment I’d dreamt of for the last eight years. I’m so thankful that Chris recorded that special moment and that we will have it to look back on for years to come. I’m yet to watch it without bursting into tears!

Getting engaged is the most amazing feeling. For the first time ever, all your friends and family jump to celebrate your love, which really is a whole new experience. Chris and I have been so overwhelmed with the social media love, the messages, the cards and the presents we’ve received. It’s so lovely to have something to experience together and just wonder around in our little bubble together.

We enjoyed two solid loved up days before someone posed us with the “So, when’s the wedding” question. It was that exact moment that I realised that, despite all the wedding stalking I’ve done in my lifetime, I had no idea how to plan a wedding. Like I seriously, really didn’t have a clue where to start! Of course, being a blogger, I headed to some of my favourite blogs, to find that wedding related blog posts were few and far between!

I’ve spent the last few weeks scanning Pinterest, attending wedding fairs, scrapbooking from magazines and booking venues (eek)! Chris and I have always said that we never wanted a long engagement, so we’ve settled on a date in September 2018. Which, to be frank, feels far enough away to be a logical wait, yet close enough to give me heart palpitations. It doesn’t help when your groom tells you that the “wedding is ages away” and you’re yet to ask your bridesmaids, so you have no one to first to lighten your load (I am of course joking about the bridesmaids).

Over the next year I really want to blog about my wedding planning experiences. Not only will wedding planning take over my life a little bit, but I’m hoping that it helps a few fellow bloggers in the future, who also want to start planning their wedding. I’ll be talking about everything from planning a church wedding (there are a lot of misconceptions), to entertainment and everything in-between. Equally, if you have any tips for this brand new bride-to-be, I’d love to hear about them in the comments!

Here’s to an exciting year of wedding planning, let’s hope I make it out the other side!

Iconic London Illuminator Drops

Iconic London is a beautiful brand, which was founded by Jade Elliott in 2015, when Jade sold her car to start a beauty brand from her bedroom. Since then Iconic London has gone from strength to strength – quickly moving from a bedroom start-up to one of the biggest beauty brands on the market. Not only is Iconic London well loved by beauty bloggers across the world, but also by the likes of Kim Kardashian and many other famous faces. I’ve always watched the brand from the distance, so I was really excited when their famous Illuminator Drops* arrived in the post.

I have such a soft spot for highlighters in general, but I’ve always loved how easy liquid highlighters are to use. The best bit for me is how versatile they are as a product, giving you lots of different ways to get a gorgeous glow. The Iconic London Illuminator Drops are no different – offering you a beautiful concentrated liquid shimmer. The Iconic London Illuminator Drops are available in three different shades: there is ‘Shine’ (a pink-based shimmer which adds pearly shine), Original (a champagne-toned shimmer to add golden shine) and Glow (a terracotta toned shimmer which offers a bronze glow). I have Shine, which I was super happy about, as pink highlighters are something I use every day!

Whether you add Iconic London Illuminator Drops to your foundation, primer or moisturiser, or add the drops directly to your cheekbones – you really won’t be disappointed. When you add them directly onto the skin, they blend beautifully into the skin and really accentuate the ‘high points’ of your face. When you mix them into another product, they really enhance the finish of your skin, creating a ‘soft focus’ effect and fixing your skin if it looks a bit dull or lacklustre.

I also love the packing of the Iconic London Illuminator Drops, which feels very premium and very pretty. It arrives in a glass jar, which lets the colour of the highlighter to shine through the packaging. Each of the jars is finished with simplistic black lettering, which just feels very chic and sophisticated. You unscrew the lid which reveals a dropper, which lets you distribute the product very easily, without getting yourself in a mess!

The three Iconic London Illuminator Drops shades are all available from the Iconic London website, priced at £30 each.

Morris & Co | The Latest Collection From Heathcote & Ivory

Heathcote & Ivory have been making gifts since 1990 and today still remain as a British, family owned business. Their aim is to sell gifts that look and feel very special, bringing new collections to life every year. Their latest collection is called Morris & Co – inspired by William Morris who created rooms with honesty and simplicity, bringing pretty patterns to life. Heathcote & Ivory have bought the new collection to life, using his expertly executed patterns and combining them with sea salt and sandalwood fragrances. Let’s take a little look at some of the new gifts.

Each of the gifts use the iconic designs of Morris in a very neutral palette. So every gift is very pretty, yet very simple and white. Let’s start off with the Hand Care Trilogy* (£17), which arrives in white patterned box, presented with a clear piece of plastic that lets you see the products inside. Inside the box you get a Hand Cream (100ml), a Hand Scrub (40ml) and a Cuticle Cream (30ml). All of the products have been designed to be as useful and beautiful as possible. Using essential oils of bergamot and extracts of thistle, silver birch, kelp and luffa fruit powder.

Next we have The Collection* (£22) which arrives in a gorgeous tin, which has been intricately embossed and designed to fit perfectly into a modern home. Inside the lovely tin, you get a lovely Hand Cream (100ml), a Shower Cream (200ml) and a Body Lotion (50ml). They all have lovely rich formulations, which is perfect for the colder months!

The last thing I have to show you is the Hand Cream Library* (£22). This is one of my favourite pieces from the whole collection (which includes a lot more than these three gifts). The Hand Cream Library arrives in a grey cardboard box which has white details all over it. The box is held in place with a magnet, which you just unravel to reveal all the lovely hand creams inside. There are six hand creams in the box, which just feel so lovely and luxurious!

If you love the look of this lovely new Morris & Co collection, you can pick everything up on the Heathcote & Ivory website very soon!

Four Reasons You’ll Love The New Charlotte Tilbury Palette

From the minute the Instant Eye Palette was announced, I’ve been waiting patiently for it to become available. It’s sad, but true, I knew instantly (excuse the pun) that I needed to have it! There will be three million reviews of this palette floating around the bloggersphere, but today I wanted to share my thoughts and share my four reasons to love it!

The Packaging
Charlotte Tilbury has quickly made a name for herself for making quality, beautiful products. Luckily this Instant Eye Palette is no different and far from a let-down. It arrives in the beautiful classic Tilbury purple packaging; the shade of this packaging is just one of my favourite things in the universe. Once you delve inside the box you find the exquisite gold palette, which strongly resembles the Filmstar Bronze & Glow packaging, which we all know and love. If you needed any convincing at all, the sheer in indulgence of this palette is second to none.

The Shades
Now let’s talk about the real important stuff – the shades! Charlotte Tilbury herself examples it as the palette for all seasons, the palette that gives you everything you could ever need. The palette is made up of 12 shades, which make up four different makeup looks. Each look has three shades, which have been perfectly created to work together – which makes application very quick and easy if you’re an eyeshadow novice. The first look is called “The Day Look”, which offers a natural eye makeup look, thanks to a matte cream, shimmering brown & taupe matte. “The Desk Look” has a pink champagne shade, a chocolate brown and a caramel hue. The first look is “The Date Look”, which offers a sultry finish with a shimmering mauve-cocoa and two chocolate shades. Finally, we have the “The Disco Look”, which gives you everything you need for a smokey eye, with black and molten gold hues.

The Formulation
Before this palette I’ve indulged in two other Charlotte Tilbury palettes, which I love and use constantly. I love the beautiful formulations, which are so perfectly pigmented. It just means that you can apply everything effortlessly – application is quick, blending is easy and there is no fallout. Everything feels buttery and luxurious, which is exactly what you’d expect from Charlotte Tilbury.

The Price (I know what you’re thinking, bare with me)
The last thing I wanted to talk about is price. Now I know what you’re thinking, this is a £60 palette, what’s to like?! Well, I have two palettes in my collection already, which both set me back £39. Those palettes only contain four shades, so it’s definitely much cheaper to indulge in this 12 shade palette. Not to mention, the whole experience is incredible and well worth every penny!

The Instant Eye Palette will be back in stock very soon, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled! If you’re interested in getting your hands on it, I highly recommend joining the waitlist here

GHOST DREAM | The Latest Fragrance

There’s something really special about adding a new fragrance to your collection. Fragrance isn’t something I tend to treat myself to, so when I have something new to try, it always feels super exciting. The GHOST brand is well known for their pretty scents, which don’t break the bank and this new one doesn’t disappoint! Let’s take a closer look…

GHOST DREAM is a captivating and mysterious scent, which GHOST say has been created for women who want to embrace their femininity and independence. The campaign is fronted by Malaika Firth, a Kenyan-born British fashion model. The mysterious theme starts from the minute you get the fragrance in your hand. GHOST say that GHOST DREAM is light and complex, just like the pink clouds of a hazy sunset – which is actually printed on the front of the white cardboard box.

Inside the white, cloudy box you find the bottle of the fragrance, which is really quite special. The bottle has been designed to look like a little gem, finished with lots of geometric edges – which is very different for the GHOST line of fragrances. Normally I find fragrance bottles really hard to photograph, but there is something so effortless about this one, as it just reflects the light perfectly. I love the shades of purple and blue within the bottle and I think it’s beautifully finished by the stunning rose cap.

The scent is a floral scent, which has top notes of Rose Essential and Aquaflora. The heart of the fragrance includes Violet, Heliotrope, Moroccan Orange Flower and Egyptian Jasmine. The base is lovely and woody, with scents of Ambroxan, Musks and Patchouli, which is a really nice edge to the scent. GHOST DREAM is available now right now nationwide from Superdrug, Boots and the Perfume Shop (prices start at £27 for 30ml).

bbswirl and keep.it.clean | New in from beautyblender

I truly feel that right now I can’t be separated from beautyblender, I’m absolutely besotted! So when this little package from the beautyblender landed at my door, I was really damn excited. There have been a few really exciting launches from beautyblender recently and I’m here to give you the full low down!

beautyblender bbswirl
Let’s start with the beautyblender bbswirl, which is frankly the type of product us bloggers dream of. beautyblender say that bbswirl is there way of making the beautyblender even more extraordinary! bbswirl takes the best-selling original beautyblender and sets into a new blend – two pretty colours twisting together. This means that the sponge is just like a snowflake – no two are the same and no two are alike. I absolutely love the blend of cream and pink, I think it looks really pretty and it is a shame to spoil with makeup! Simply use bbswirl in the same way you always have, wet the sponge, squeeze out the excess water and then bounce the foundation onto your skin. It leaves your makeup looking flawless and more like your real skin than ever before! Every beautyblender is created in their unique, exclusive material – plus it is latex-free, scent-free and handcrafted in the USA. You can pick up the beautyblender bbswirl for £16 from Cult Beauty, Selfridges and SpaceNK.

beautyblender keep.it.clean
Now, if you’re anything like me, you hate cleaning your brushes and you hate even more, cleaning your beautyblender! Until now, there hasn’t been a mitt or a kit that was safe enough to give your sponge a really good scrub. So, I was really excited to see that beautyblender have launched the keep.it.clean kit. A new kit which includes a handy mitt, a little liquid blendercleanser packet and the famous beautyblender solid cleanser. The new keep.it.clean cleansing kit allows you to clean one or two blenders at once, all in the palm of your hand. Not only does it make light work at removing stains, but it also promises to never damage your beautyblender foam. You can pick up the beautyblender keep.it.clean kit for £16 from Cult Beauty, Selfridges and SpaceNK.

beautyblender blendercleanser
The last thing I’ve been playing with is the beautyblender blendercleanser. It is a liquid cleanser which can remove all the excess oil and impurities from your favourite brushes. It’s created with eco-friendly demineralized water and natural sea salt, which work together to lift out stubborn stains. I love that it’s very lightly scented with lavender, which is great for it’s for aromatherapy benefits.

So there you have it, everything you need from beautyblender this season, I mean let’s be honest, everyone needs a bb.swirl, it’s so damn pretty!
