My Favourite Gifting Candles This Christmas | Christmas 2017

If you’ve been following my Christmas Gift Guides, it won’t be a surprise to you that I think candles make a fantastic gift. This year there are so many to choose from – from those that are Christmas themed, to those that just look (and smell) fantastic all year round! As there are so many to choose from, I wanted to combine my own Christmas Candle edit, to give you a complete low down of my favourites!

SPACE NK Shimmering Spice Candle* (£26 here)
Christmas candles don’t get more iconic than the SPACE NK Shimmering Spice Candle*. I almost always buy one of these candles in the SPACE NK sale, so I’m super chuffed to have one in my collection already this year and it’s burning happily! Every year the design of the candle changes and I’m loving the look of this year’s design. This year it’s in the most gorgeous jar, finished with metallic details, which wave across the white background. As always, the candle is completely exclusive to the festive season and the scent is everything I love about Christmas! The notes include Cinnamon and spice, which are intermingled with orange, mandarin, with a warm and cosy cedar base that is infused with a hint of sweet vanilla.

Monsoon Fragrance Collection* (£17 each here)
I reviewed this collection earlier in this year and it was safe to say that I was really impressed! From start to finish the whole experience is so unique and luxurious. The collection includes both the diffusers and candles, which arrive in stunning heavy glass containers. On the front of each product these is an iconic Monsoon metalwork pattern, which changes colour depending on the scent you’ve picked. I’ve been loving the Seaspray & Cotton range, which is lovely, fresh and perfect for starting a new year!

Bloom Fig & Cassis candle* (£10, currently £5 here)
If the person you’re buying for is a bit of scent fan, it’s important to remember that the gift doesn’t have to cost the earth! Which is exactly why I wanted to give a mention to the ‘Bloom’ range from Superdrug. The range is perfect for gifting, as they arrive in lovely colour coded boxes, with simple candles hiding inside. There are loads of different scents to choose from, but my favourite is the Bloom Fig & Cassis candle*. The scent is gorgeous and includes some of my favourite notes - floral jasmine, sweet coconut and berry amber.

Mini Christmas Candles from Crabtree & Evelyn* (£16 each here)
Until I put together my gift guides, I had absolutely no idea that Crabtree & Evelyn made candles – yet they are some of the most beautiful things I’ve come across! This year I have completely fallen in love with the mini Christmas candles from Crabtree & Evelyn. The first candle is the Mini Noël Candle* (£16 here) which is infused with the fragrance of fir tree branches studded with tangy citrus zest and mulled spices. The second candle I’m loving is the Mini White Cardamom Candle* (£16 here), which is are infused with winter warming sweet mimosa and mulled spice essences of cardamom. They are both made using cold extraction technology for the most authentic fragrances and make amazing stocking fillers!

Mini Moderns Pavilion Scented Candle* (£24 candle)
Another new brand to cross my path is Mini Moderns, which again have completely stolen my heart. This candle arrives in the coolest abstract jar, which is finished with pretty black spots, with a hit of mustard yellow. It’s totally bang on trend and is going to fit well into anyone’s décor! The fragrance is called Gin Fizz - it’s a cocktail of lemon and juniper berry with notes of fresh geranium. The Mini Moderns candles are made using a unique blend of waxes and have a pure cotton wick, which means if you really look after them, they can last 50 hours!

Orla Kiely Earl Grey Candle* (£25 here)
There is no doubt that the world loves Orla Kiely, I know that whenever I unwrap something from her brand, I always know I’m going to love it. So, with that in mind, I think the Orla Kiely Earl Grey Candle is a good safe bet when it comes to presents! It arrives boxed and of course, it’s presented in a beautiful glass jar embellished with one of Orla Kiely's signature prints. The Earl Grey scent I would say is a pretty universal scent, with notes that include oils of bergamot, clary sage, orange peel and smokey black tea.

Morris & Co. Strawberry Thief Scented Candle* (£25 here)
This year I was introduced to Heathcote & Ivory, who are an amazing gifting brand. One of their brands is called Morris & Co, which has everything from hand creams to candles. The Morris & Co. Strawberry Thief Scented Candle* may not sound very Christmassy at first glance, but it really is perfect for the festive season! It arrives in a pretty hefty box and it’s one of the biggest candles in this edit. Box the glass and the box is finished in a full colour Morris & Co. design, finished with red, floral details, whilst the scent is truly to die for, with rich, earthy grounding scents.

ESPA Trio Of Light Set* (£45 here)
Every year I go mad for the ESPA Christmas sets and I truly can never get enough of their candles. I love that the gifts feel very Christmassy, but when you get inside, it’s a gift that can last all year round. For me nothing says spa-like pamper like ESPA and the ESPA Trio Of Light Set* (£45 here), truly makes my heart skip a little tiny beat. The set arrives in a gorgeous silver box, which is delicately finished with the ESPA logo. The whole thing is tied with a beautiful EPSA green ribbon – so pretty that it barely needs wrapping!  Inside the gorgeous silver, ribbon tied box, you get three stunning ESPA candles, which allows you to experience ESPA aromas in miniature form. There are 70g sized candles of the Mini Soothing Candle, the Mini Restorative Candle and the Mini Energising Candle. Perfect for an ESPA fan, or a complete newbie to the range!

Snow Ball Pigment & Glitter Kits | MAC Snowball Christmas 2017

Sometimes MAC collections can be a bit OTT for me, as when they release something that’s a little more neutral, I’m first in line to get my hands on it! This year’s Christmas collection is exactly that – a beautiful array of pretty shades, with the packaging all adorned with sequin details. It totally screams at my magpie tendencies and I knew I had to give something a whirl! The collection is said to be inspired by “the cool kids” who take full advantage of the festive season – from festive parties and soirees, to dancing to the beat and a bit of festive flirtation. The collection is said to help you dance right through to sunrise, whist still looking fantastic and revelling in the glitter details. The collection is all about glitter details, from pretty glitter snowflakes, to the aforementioned sequin adornment.

The product I knew I had to try is the Snow Ball Pigment & Glitter Kits – I use SO many glitter pigments during the festive season, but I’ve never tried the products from MAC. So, I figured, as they’d wrapped them up so nicely, it was time to give them a whirl! The Snow Ball Pigment & Glitter Kits arrive in a mini makeup bag, which is covered in sequins. When you unzip the bag, you find three pretty mini pigments and glitters hiding inside.

There are two different shade variations, there’s ‘Gold’ and ‘Pink’. The Gold set is the one I have here and it includes the Vanilla Mini Pigment (soft ivory white), English Gilt Mini Pigment (bright champagne) and Gold Mini Glitter (sparkling chunky gold). The Pink version includes the Copper Sparkle Mini Pigment (smooth, high-shine copper), the Whisper Pink Mini Pigment (soft beigey pink with pearl) and the Pink Mini Glitter (which is bright pink).

Both of the sets retail for £25 each and they are strictly limited edition for Christmas time – once they are gone they are gone! I’m so happy with my pigment purchase and I can’t wait to properly use them over the festive period. I can’t lie to you, I already have my eyes on the Pink version to complete the collection!

Make A Statement | Too Faced Christmas 2017

If you’re still looking for a stocking filler for your makeup obsessed friend, look no further – this one is for you! You really can’t go wrong with Too Faced at any time of the year, but when it comes to Christmas time, Too Faced do gifts REALLY well. They have a great set of gifts this year, from little stocking fillers, to spectacular palettes! Today I really wanted to share this little set, which is great for the lipstick fans in your squad!

The Under The Kissletoe Liquidfied Lipstick Set* arrives in a gorgeous metallic bright pink box, which is finished with some seasonal illustrations. The four windows in the front of the box hide the products that are hiding inside. These happen to be four of Too Faced’s bestselling Melted, Melted Matte, Melted Chocolate, and Melted Latex lipstick shades. Each of the lipsticks is a generous sample size, which happens to be the perfect handbag companion - perfect for the party season and whilst you’re travelling or on the go. It’s a fantastic set as there are four different finishes, in a variety of shades – there’s everything from nude browns, pinks and festive berry colours. So, no matter the taste of the person you’re buying for, they will absolutely find something in the box that they like.

As you’d expect from Too Faced, the shades feature intense, pigmented colour, which lasts for ages on the lips. The innovative formula offers a really glossy finish, which was inspired by the glossy form of liquid lipstick in cosmetic lab vats. The angled applicators inside each of the tubes allows for precise application of the colour, making everything very easy and without the need for a brush or lip liner!

The lovely Under The Kissletoe Liquidfied Lipstick Set is exclusively available for the festive season. It retails for £22 and will be available from Debenhams, Selfridges and the Too Faced website.

Christmas Makeup Collection by Paul & Joe | Christmas 2017

It’s hard to find collections that excite me as much as Paul & Joe’s do! Especially at Christmas time when things go a little bit festive and we turn things up a notch! This year is just as good as I’ve come to expect from Paul & Joe, with a limited-edition makeup set in a festive red pouch. Let’s take a closer look…

As I mentioned, the new Christmas Makeup Collection* from Paul & Joe, arrives in a red box. The box is of course finished in a psychatdélique cat print, which first appeared in the 2016 Autumn-Winter collection and carries through to the bag inside. This year’s pouch is a round design, which has some structure to it and a zip that spans across the top. It has a little handle across the top, which makes it a bit easier to carry around.

When you unzip the pouch, you find three makeup products, which have been wrapped in matching red tissue paper. The products have been designed to have you the perfect dazzlingly makeup look, to match the festive season. Of course, a Paul & Joe collection is not complete without some limited edition cat-inspired products. So, the collection begins with the Limited Edition Cat Lipstick (003), which is in a champagne-red shade. The very top of the lipstick features a cat face, which is so damn cute. The outside of the lipstick is wrapped in the same psychatdélique print has the box and pouch.

Next in the bag we have The Eye Gloss (S001), which is perfect for those of us who love a bit of sparkle. It’s a gorgeous champagne-gold eye colour, which you wash over the lids for a dash of sparkle. To complete the festive look, we have The Shimmering Blush (001) – it’s a universally flattering champagne-rose pink which adds a luminous veil creating sparkle to highlight and illuminate cheek bones.

The Paul & Joe Beauté Makeup Up Collection is priced at £45 and is available right now from ASOS and Beauty Bay. It’s a perfect addition to any Paul & Joe fans collection, but also makes an amazing gift for any cat fan who also loves makeup. The Paul & Joe collections always disappear fast, so don’t delay if you want to get your hands on it!

Gifts For Her Over £20 | Christmas Gift Guides 2017

Yes, I’m back with more Christmas Gift Guides! They are always some of my most popular posts of the year, so it only seems right that I bring them back in 2017! I have four huge Christmas Gift Guides this year, which will cross all different price points and a variety of different themes. So, brace yourself for lots of festivity and a bulk load of present suggestions! This second guide is once again focussed on gifts for her, but this time all the gifts are under £20 and there’s a real mix of beauty and lifestyle ideas. If you’re looking for smaller gifts, check out my Gifts Under £10 post here and my Gifts Under £20 post here. Let’s get started…

For the makeup junkie
Of course, in my opinion you can’t go wrong with a makeup gift! I’m loving the Millie Macintosh Beauty Ultimate Beauty Collection* (£30 here), which is beautifully packaged in a large rose gold box! Inside the box there are seven products, which cover everything from eyeshadow to bronzer. I’ve had all these products out of the box and played with them and I have to say they are all beautiful quality. I love a bit of glitter and shimmer, so the Sigma Beauty Loose Glitter and Shimmer Kits* ($30 here) make amazing gifts! Inside each box you get a mix of three shimmers or glitters, which you can use in loads of different ways – use them as eyeshadow, as highlight, as lip-gloss or as dusting all over the skin. The possibilities are endless!

The nail kit I want to mention is The Gold Standard Christmas Gift Set from Butter London* (£25 here). It’s a five-item collection which features the best regal shades in high shine, gel-like hues, plus a 24-karat gold-flecked top coat which is sure to finish any nail polish in style!  Brows on fleek are not going anywhere soon, which is why I think the Tweezerman Mini Brow Rescue Kit* (£26 here) is an incredible buy! Keep your brows looking perfect at any time and in any location, with this handbag sized brow rescue kit! It fits into the smallest of bags and includes the Mini Slant Tweezer, the Mini Browmousse, the Mini Brow Brush and the Mini Eyenhance Brow Highlighter.

For the lipstick fiend
If you’re buying for someone who loves lipstick, you’ll be pleased to hear that there are a lot of products out there! The NYX Professional Makeup Matte vs. Metals Lip Vault* (£30 here) is one of my must-buy gifts this year. It’s a huge vault which includes both matte and metallic finishes for endless looks. The set includes six shades of Liquid Suede Cream and six shades of the Cosmic Metals Lip Cream, in nude, red and pink hues. For something a little smaller, but more high-end, there’s the theBalm 'meet Matt(E) Hughes' Lipstick Set* (£26 here). Inside the set, you get six mini long-lasting liquid lipsticks, which are a super cute handbag size. Each lipstick in this gift is beautiful – they have everything from nude hues to bold Christmas party shades.

Again, if you have a glitter fan in your tribe, I highly recommend the Beauty BLVD Glitter Lips  Merry Kissmas Set* (£30 here). You can’t help but wow when your lips are covered in glitter and this little set has you covered! There are three showstopping shades (Ruby Slippers, Vintage Pretty and Sparkling Rose) which will all add that extra wow factor. My last gift suggestion for the lipstick fiend is the Too Faced Under The Kissletoe Liquidfied Lipstick Set* (£22 here). This one arrives in a gorgeous metallic bright pink box, which is finished with some seasonal illustrations. Inside you get four of Too Faced’s bestselling Melted, Melted Matte, Melted Chocolate, and Melted Latex lipstick shades. It’s a fantastic set as there are four different finishes, in a variety of shades – there’s everything from nude browns, pinks and festive berry colours. So, no matter the taste of the person you’re buying for, they will absolutely find something in the box that they like.

For the person who loves her makeup brushes
If you’re unsure of someone’s makeup taste, or you’re unsure what they have already, makeup brushes make an amazing gift! The good news is that the genius team at Real Techniques have you covered! One of my favourite gifts is the Real Techniques Illuminate + Accentuate Set* (£40, currently £30 here) – perfect for contouring goddess on your gift list! Inside are six six different products inside to help you spotlight and sculpt the face (a brand new Bronzer Brush, Contour Brush, Domed Shadow Brush, Shading Brush, Smudge Brush, the Miracle Complexion Sponge and the Miracle Mini Eraser Sponge).

This year the Bold Metals team have created the Bold Metals Eyes + Lips Set* (£30 here), which has all the tools you need for perfect eyes and lips this season. Including the 200 Oval Shadow Brush, the 203 Tapered Shadow Brush and the new 302 Pointed Lip Brush, all in a handy Brush Cup!

When it comes to keeping brushes in good condition, everyone needs the Sigma Dry And Shape Spa* ($29 here). It’s a super clever a patented design for cleaning, drying and reshaping face and eye brushes all in one gadget. The center core features all 7 of the trusted Sigma Spa patented brush cleaning textures, while the removable bases transform the gadget into a Sigma Dry'n Shape Tower holding up to 18 brushes at once.

For an experience that really matters
For me nothing is better than a gift that keeps on giving and I LOVE making memories with my family and friends. This year BuyAGift have an amazing #buyaBETTERgift campaign, which focuses all ‘Gifts for Christmas, Experiences for Life’. So it's a fabulous place to find a gift that will matters and makes a lovely memory! I recently tested the Relaxing Spa Day For Two At A Macdonald Hotel Gift* (£99 here) and it really was lovely. The gifted and a guest can treat themselves to a spa day at one of Macdonald Hotels’ 19 sumptuous spa destinations. You can enjoy the amazing array of incredible spa facilities, as well as picking your very own 25-minute treatment to really unwind! The Macdonald locations are always so pretty and inviting, so it really feels like a special occasion!

For the fragrance obsessed
Moving on to sweet, sweet smells, I have some amazing options for you! First up let’s talk shopping at the airport – many of us travel to see family at this time of year, so why not finish up your shopping with a 20% saving? I absolutely LOVE this Lancome La Vie Est Belle Set*, which comes with a huge 85ml bottle of perfume, plus a little rollerball of fragrance for your handbag!

The world went a little bit mad for the Missguided Babe Power Eau De Parfum* (£28 here) this year! It arrives in a bottle, designed to look just like a can and smells delicious! The top notes include grapefruit zest, sour cherry, pink pepper, crisp apple, pineapple and rhubarb, the heart is more floral, with orange blossom, peony and jasmine, whilst the base includes vanilla, candy floss, sensual musk and amber crystals.

Of course, you really can’t go wrong with a candle and I have loads here for you to choose from! First up we have the Mini Moderns Pavilion Scented Candle* (£24 candle) – which arrives in the coolest abstract jar and includes the Gin Fizz fragrance. It’s a cocktail of lemon and juniper berry with notes of fresh geranium. The Mini Moderns candles are made using a unique blend of waxes and have a pure cotton wick, which means if you really look after them, they can last 50 hours! There is no doubt that the world loves Orla Kiely, so I think the Orla Kiely Earl Grey Candle* (£25 here) is a good safe bet! Presented in a beautiful glass jar embellished with one of Orla Kiely's signature prints and scented with oils of bergamot, clary sage, orange peel and smokey black tea.

Christmas candles don’t get more iconic than the SPACE NK Shimmering Spice Candle* (£26 here). This year it’s in the most gorgeous jar, finished with metallic details and as always, it’s completely exclusive to the festive season. The scent is everything I love about Christmas - Cinnamon and spice are intermingled with orange, mandarin, with a warm and cosy cedar base that is infused with a hint of sweet vanilla. The other Christmas scented candle I want to mention is the Morris & Co. Strawberry Thief Scented Candle* (£25 here). It arrives in a bespoke glass with full colour Morris & Co. design and the scent is truly to die for, with rich, earthy grounding scents.

For the pamper queen
Now this is where the gifts get really impressive and very indulgent! For me nothing says spa-like pamper like ESPA and the ESPA Trio Of Light Set* (£45 here), truly makes my heart skip a little tiny beat. Inside the gorgeous silver, ribbon tied box, you get three stunning ESPA candles, allowing you to experience ESPA aromas in miniature form. There is 70g sized candles of the Mini Soothing Candle, the Mini Restorative Candle and the Mini Energising Candle.

So many of us love rose-scented products, which is why I just had to include the REN 'Tis The Season To Feel Rosey Luxury Rose Gift Set* (£49 here). There’s the Moroccan Rose Otto Body Wash (200ml), the Moroccan Rose Otto Sugar Polish (75ml) and the stunning Moroccan Rose Gold Glow Perfect Dry Oil (100ml).

When it comes to spa-like pamper, for me there is nothing that beats Comfort Zone. I was introduced to them this year and I’ve just not looked back! Some of their gifts this year are very extravagant and I know that they’d go down well with any pamper fan. First up we have the Comfort Zone Tranquillity Kit* (£63 here), which is everything you need for an aromatic cleansing experience. Baked Gelato Swirl Ornament | Laura Geller Christmas 2017

I’ve spoken a lot about my love for the Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminators from Laura Geller. Not only are they the prettiest thing on earth, but they also don’t disappoint when it comes to performance. This year the genius Laura Geller team have created the Baked Gelato Swirl Ornament*, which is sure to be a winner with beauty fans on Christmas morning. Let’s take a closer look…

The Baked Gelato Swirl Ornament arrives in a hexagon-shaped box, which is finished in a blue-purple colourway. The top of the box is finished with a diamond shaped plastic lid, which looks really impressive and lets the beauty of the product shine through. Once you get inside the box you find the Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in the shade ‘Diamond Dust’. This particular shade is a beautiful silver hue, which has been created to match all skin tones.

I love everything about the Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminators, first of all you can’t not love the pretty swirl on the top. Designed to look just like Gelato and you simply can’t take a bad picture of it. Like all the other Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminators, Diamond Dust is beautifully pigmented. You just need one sweep of colour for a hit of show-stopping glamour. The formula has been designed to have a hybrid texture, meaning that whilst it applies like a powder, it feels like a cream on the skin. This means that it really just melts into the skin, allowing to use the Diamond Dust Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator all over the skin. Perfect for creating that lit-from-within glow! You can even use the colour all over the eyelids, should you be pushed for time and need a beautiful eyeshadow!

This lovely new ornament from Laura Geller will be available for the festive season at selected Debenhams stores and from the Debenhams website. It’s priced at £21, so it will make a lovely little gift for any makeup fan in your life!

KIKO Asian Touch | AW2017 | KIKO’s 20th Anniversary Capsule Collection

This year, KIKO MILANO is celebrating their 20th anniversary. To celebrate their anniversary, they have joined forces with seven international brands, which have been created by young and up-and-coming designers. The fifth capsule collection is called ‘Asian Touch’ and is a collaboration with Serafina Sama, the young designer behind the label Isa Arfen. As you’ve probably guessed, the collection is inspired by the charm of far eastern beauty. Today I wanted to show you some of the products in the collection!

Asian Touch Matte Liquid Lipstick* (£7.95)
You’d be forgiven for thinking that these are nail polishes, but they are in fact liquid lipsticks! The packaging is absolutely gorgeous, featuring a long handle and a pretty glass bottle. As you can see the bottom of the lipstick is clear, which lets the colour of the lipstick shine through. Inside you’ll find an ultra-matte liquid lipstick, with a really intense pigmentation. I have two of the shades here, but there are actually three shades in the collection: 01 Plushy Red, 02 Silky Burgundy and 03 Velvety Black.

Asian Touch Lip Pencil* (£5.95) and Asian Touch Eye Pencil* (£5.95)
I absolutely love the packaging of these pencils in the Asian Touch collection. They have glorious long thin handles, which look so impressive and totally fit the theme of the collection. The Asian Touch Lip Pencils have a full colour effect, which allows you to get a really precise outline. They are available in three different shades, 01 Plushy Red, 02 Silky Burgundy 03 Velvety Black. The Asian Touch Eye Pencils have been designed to be used both on the outer and inner eye, again available in three shades 01 Traditional Beige, 02 Oriental Bordeaux and 03 Ancient Black.

Asian Touch Perfecting Sheet Mask* (£3.95)
The last product in the collection that I have is the Asian Touch Perfecting Sheet Mask. It arrives in a cream package, which has an Asian-inspired illustration on the outside of the pack. Inside you find a face mask which is made with 100% natural fabric extracted from bamboo. The unique texture is unlike anything I’ve tried before and is inspired by Asian rituals, providing a blissful experience for perfect skin.

The Asian Touch Capsule Collection actually launched in September, but luckily there are still some products left to get your hands on (they normally sell out very quickly). Shop the collection in all KIKO MILANO stores and online on the KIKO website.

Gifts For Her Under £20 | Christmas Gift Guides 2017

Yes, I’m back with more Christmas Gift Guides! They are always some of my most popular posts of the year, so it only seems right that I bring them back in 2017! I have four huge Christmas Gift Guides this year, which will cross all different price points and a variety of different themes. So, brace yourself for lots of festivity and a bulk load of present suggestions! This second guide is once again focussed on gifts for her, but this time all the gifts are under £20 and there’s a real mix of beauty and lifestyle ideas. If you’re looking for smaller gifts, check out my Gifts Under £10 post here. Let’s get started…

For the accessories fan
Let’s kick things off with the girl who loves to accessorise every outfit. When I was in London recently, I popped into Kikki.K and spotted these gorgeous Kikki.K Bangles (£18 each here). There are two variations, which are both made from coated stainless steel, featuring a word to inspire. I loved them both, so I picked up the Rose Gold version that says ‘Breathe’ and the silver version that says ‘Dream’. They arrive in a printed drawstring bag, inside a beautiful box, which makes them the perfect gift. Another great place to go to for accessories is Cambridge Satchel Company, as they’ve recently expanded their collection to include lots of stocking fillers, including notebooks, keyrings and travel wallets. The Key Strap With Dog Clip in Saffiano Leather* (£15 here) is absolutely gorgeous and will look great on your keys or your handbag.

For the makeup junkie
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Hope, Freedom, Love gift guide without a splatter of beauty products and I’m in love with this year’s suggestions! First up let’s talk shopping at the airport – many of us travel to see family at this time of year, so why not finish up your shopping with a 20% saving? The gorgeous NARS Love Triangle Orgasm Set* (£16.70 from World Duty Free here) is practically sold out everywhere, but the World Duty Free stores still have them at a cut down price. Inside the gorgeous triangle you get a mini Orgasm Blush and a mini Orgasm Lipstick, which makes an amazing gift. My favourite hanging ornament this year is the Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Ornament* (£21 here). It arrives in a hexagon-shaped box, finished with a diamond shaped plastic lid. Once you get inside the box you find the Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in the shade ‘Diamond Dust’.

No Christmas makeup look is complete without a bit of glitter, which is why I LOVE these NYX Glitter Goals Sets* (£15 each here). The sets are strictly limited edition, available in three different colourways. Inside the box you get three lustrous shades of Face & Body Glitter, one travel-friendly tube of our vitamin E-infused Glitter Primer to keep the sparkle in check!  For the red lipstick fan, I’ve picked out the Burts Bees Naturally Red Lips Kit* (£19.99 here). It’s a lovely little box and inside you get a simple how-to guide, plus a trio of festive lip colour essentials. The set includes the Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm Hibiscus, the Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon Redwood Forest and the Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer Fig. If you want to gift more of a ‘complete’ makeup look, the Tanya Burr Jingle & Mingle Night Palette* (£16 here) is a fantastic option! It arrives in a festive burgundy box, which is decorated in silver details. When you flip open the lid you find lots of lovely products for a festive look – there are eyeshadows, bronzer, eye shimmer, lipgloss and an eyeliner!

For the last part of this section, lets talk makeup brushes – I have two gorgeous sets depending on who you’re buying for this year! For the younger audience, I have the Superdrug Flutter Makeup Brush Set* (£15, currently £7 here). The box is finished in a pink pattern with a panda on the front and inside the box you get the perfect brush starter kit. The set includes a fluffy Powder Brush, a Foundation Brush, a Eyeshadow Brush and two Blending Sponges for a flawless finish. For the older, or more experienced makeup fan, I highly recommend the Real Techniques Colour Correcting Set* (£19.99). Inside this set you get everything you need to apply, buff, and blend colour correcting concealers. There are four brushes and four sponges, which have been colour coded to match with the key colour correcting shades.

For the girl who is always painting her nails
I can never resist a special edit for those of us who love our nails and this year I think I’ve found some real beauties! Every year I pick out something from Mavala, as they make beautiful stocking fillers! The Mavala Baby Pink Duo Set* (£13.59) arrives in a pretty pink box and includes two pink-hued Mavala shades – perfect for those of us who are pink obsessed!

For something a little different, I love the Nailberry Guilt Trip Collection* (£14.50 each here)This year’s Christmas collection is just two shades and is inspired by molton gold and the twinkle of the winter stars. There is Stardust (an iridescent pearl top coat) and Gold Leaf (a liquid gold shade). My final suggestion for nail fans is something that holds holy grail status in my collection – the Leighton Denny Crystal Nail File* (£12.50 here). I’ve been using crystal nail files for a long time, as they are much better than the traditional emery board. The Leighton Denny version is crafted with the finest lead crystal and is award-winning – Leighton Denny sell one of these beauties every 80 seconds!

For the person who needs a little pamper
We all know someone who needs to take a little bit of me time and these next few gifts are perfect! I want to kick things off with mentioning BuyaGift, who I’m a huge fan of. If you are stuck for physical present ideas, they have lots of ideas for gift experiences. The Three Course Meal with Glass of Wine for Two at Prezzo* (£30 here) is technically over budget, but you can always find it on offer! It offers someone the perfect excuse to go out for dinner, with a three-course meal from a set menu and a glass of wine each at a gorgeous Prezzo restaurant of their choice. This year BuyAGift have an amazing #buyaBETTERgift campaign, which focuses all ‘Gifts for Christmas, Experiences for Life’. So it's a fabulous place to find a gift that will matters and makes a lovely memory!

If you know someone who is a bit of pamper queen, but don’t want to gift them skincare products, I think the Aquis Lisse Luxe Headband* (£15 here) is such a sweet option. It allows you to hold your hair out of the way of your beauty regime, with a spa-link band which just velcros on and off. Of course, as it’s from Aquis, the band is creared from ultra-fine Aquitex fibers, and feels soft and luxurious to the touch.

When it comes to spa-link pamper, for me there is nothing that beats Comfort Zone. I was introduced to them this year and I’ve just not looked back! They have some really luxurious gifts this year, which I’ll share in later guides, but today I wanted to mention the Tranquillity Must Haves* (£17 here). It’s a fabulous little kit that includes the Tranquillity Body Lotion, Tranquillity Shower Gel and Tranquillity Hand Cream, all in mini travel-friendly sizes. They all have a scent of Sweet Orange, Damascus Rose and Cedarwood, for a scent that really destresses the mind.

We all know someone who is always crafting a spectacular bath and I often think that LUSH products can be a bit of a cliché gift. That’s why I love this year’s Zoella Brew Me A Bath Set* (£14, but currently £12 here). The beautifully packaged set includes everything you need for a perfect bath. Including the Bath Tea Bags, infused with the uplifting scent of Snowella and the Bath Milk Sachets. Everything has extracts of softening Peony, brightening Winter Cranberry and soothing Mint, which is just beautiful!

For the scent obsessive
If you’re looking for a gift that smells incredible, you can really get an incredible range of candles and diffusers between the £10 and £20 mark. I featured the Monsoon Home Fragrance Collection earlier this year and the range really impressed me. The Seaspray and Cotton Range* (£17 here) is an incredibly clean scent, which is perfect for when January starts and you just can’t handle any more cinnamon scents. The scent is available as a candle and a diffuser and they both have a really premium feel, featuring the iconic Monsoon metalwork pattern.

Another beautiful diffuser option are the new English Heritage Sea Spray and Fressia Diffuser* (£19.99 here). As you can imagine, this is inspired by rolling coastal gardens – a fresh diffuser with notes of sea spray and citrus fruits. These diffusers are made in the UK by Woods of Windsor and will delicately fragrance your home for over 3 months.

The only fragrance I wanted to mention in this particular edit is the Zoella Snowella Pom Pom Perfume Body Mist* (£12 for 100ml here). It’s the yearly scent from Zoella, cleverly named Snow’ella – what a lovely pun! She says it captures the beauty of snowfall, with lots of light and pretty notes. It includes Peony, plus refreshing Mint and Pink Pepper. The perfect lift of fragrance so you can pretend to be in your very own Winter Wonderland!

The last thing I had to mention is the Merci Handy Disney Kit* (£14.90 here)! If you love great scents, you will love Merci Handy’s collaboration with Disney this year. From Mickey Mouse to Donald Duck, all the characters have been matched with hand sanitiser scents. They are all microbead free and really kind to the hands, thanks to a formula packed with Vitamin E.

For the person who is house proud
Speaking of Zoella, I have three great gifts from her that I wanted to talk about, which are each perfect for the home! I had to buy the Zoella Trinkets Tray (£12, currently £8 here), as I couldn’t get over how cute it is! It’s the perfect tray for jewellery and special trinkets, or the perfect blog photograph prop if you’re anything like me! The other thing I’ve bought myself (and actually a few people on my gift list – shh!) is the Zoella Inspire Desk Accessory (£12, currently £8 here). It’s a lovely statement paperweight, which looks great on your desk or in your living room.

The last gift in this edit is the Zoella Bento Station* (£12.50 here) - which is just too damn cute! It’s inspired with the little Bento Boxes, but instead of sushi and food, it’s packed with stationery. The set includes a ruler, two pencils, a rubber, some cute arrow-shaped paperclips, some washi tape in the leaf print, a pencil sharpener and the aforementioned notepad.

Little Miss Nutcracker | Morgan Taylor Christmas 2017

Every time I get the chance to review a Morgan Taylor collection, I practically bite their hand off, as I really think it’s such an under the radar brand – so I love shouting about them to fellow beauty fans! Morgan Taylor first launched in 2013, a joint effort from creators (Danny Haile and David Daniel) who have a rich 25-year nail history. I’ve really been lucky to review a few of their collections here on Hope, Freedom, Love and today I couldn’t be happier to share their Christmas collection with you guys! Keep reading to find how why it’s so special…

This year the Morgan Taylor Christmas collection is named ‘Little Miss Nutcracker*’, with seven pretty shades for the festive season. The huge range of colours are both great for giving and great gifts for yourself, perfect for parties and occasions! Whether you’re a glitter girl, or prefer darker hues of violet and burgundy, this collection has you covered!

Inside the collection we have Dreaming of Gleaming (a wash of silver chrome), Silver In My Stocking (a special effect silver glitter overlay), Baby It’s Bold Outside (a wash of navy-blue), Plum-Thing Magical (a pop of perfect plum), Don’t Toy With My Heart (the perfect festive red), You Crack Me Up (a green glitter which would make Tinkerbell jealous) and Just Tutu Much (which is a fantastic opaque gold glitter).

I’ve swatched all the shades for you here and it’s pretty damn hard to pick favourites! I love just how varied the collection is! The Morgan Taylor Polishes retail for £10.99 each, but they also have two Little Miss Nutcracker sets. These are fantastic if you’re struggling for gift ideas, as one of them includes four mini Little Miss Nutcracker shades for just £15.50. If you like the look of this collection you can grab it between now and Christmas, from the Sally Express website
