July Favourites 2016

Happy Monday and happy August! had a great month - it's been full of makeup discovery, pretty palettes and (some) good news. It's been a busy old month in my blogging world, I've been busy guest blogging for Really Ree and I've had my first post go live over on xameliax. Plus, of course, five posts a week here on Hope, Freedom, Love. This month I've been sharing lots of different themed posts including my High End Beauty Haul, my Summer Fragrance Picks and how to guide for Getting A Summer Spa Experience At Home

Over on Really Ree, I highly recommend checking out my Flawless Festival Beauty Tips, my review of the This Works In Transit Pads and of course my review of the Rose Gold Illamasqua palette. Over on xameliax, I shared a review of the lovely Barry M Coconut Infusion Polishes.

Before we wave goodbye to July, lets take a look at the products that made the cut into my July Favourites...

ARTDECO Most Wanted Contour Palette
I love a good contour palette as much as the next person and the The Most Wanted Contouring Palette from ARTDECO, is the latest to join my collection! I've never tried anything from ARTDECO, so I was not really sure what to expect. However, I have fallen in love with this travel-friendly palette. Inside the slimline palette there are three contouring shades, a highlighter, a strobing powder and a blusher to finish off the look. ARTDECO have done a really great job with this palette, they have fit all the shades into a small palette, without making it hard to use. The shades are really buttery and they are so easy to use, it's the perfect palette whether you're an expert or a novice. The Most Wanted Contouring Palette will launched this month, priced at £31.

Master Contour V Sticks by Maybelline*
Keeping on the contouring theme, I had to speak about this amazing product from Maybelline! I honestly thought the the Master Contour Sticks were a bit gimmicky, but truth be told, I've fallen in love with this product! They are Maybelline's first 2-in-1 contouring stick, featuring a cream product which is designed to make contouring simple. You simply twist up the stick and one side we have a contour shade and on the other, you have the highlighting shade. These sticks are less messy and less complex than any other cream contour product I've tried, these sticks make the whole process very simple.

Stila Aqua Glow Serum Foundation*
This is the first ever high end foundation I've tried and I'm utterly obsessed with this clever formula. This Stila foundation is a water-based serum, which makes it incredibly light on the skin. As you'd expect from a water-based is enhanced by the addition of Hyaluronic Acid, meaning you get a real boost of moisture and nourishment. It works beautifully on both the oily and dry areas of my skin and it wears beautifully. This is a very buildable foundation, you can start with a light coat which gives the skin a lovely perfected finish, or create something much more substantial.

Illamasqua Rose Gold Palette
I felt so blessed getting the chance to test the Illamasqua Vanitas Rose Gold Palette for Really Ree (see the full review here). The Illamasqua Vanitas Rose Gold Palette is the palette I’ve had dreams about. There is a real mix of colours, perfectly combine rich purple hues and copper shades, with the more natural simple shades. As you'd expect from Illamasqua, the colours are really rich and pigmented, lasting well on the skin and offering really good staying power. The llamasqua Vanitas Collection is all about bringing the dark romance of the 17th century to 2016. It’s inspired by still-life paintings, with washed out shades of rose and brown, plus strong purple hues all playing their part.

The last thing I wanted to talk about is the Radiant Creamy Concealer from NARS. I mentioned this in my high end beauty haul, I picked it up as I wanted to compare it to the Urban Decay Naked Concealer. I use it everyday and it's always compared to the NARS version. I'm glad to say that I actually love them both, it's impossible for me to pick a favourite. The NARS concealer has a drier and thicker texture, offering a stronger coverage, but in a more matte finish!

Have you tried any of these products? I'd love to hear what you think of them in the comments below!
