Vinosource by Caudalie | An Introduction

Caudalie is one of those brands that I've not really experimented with. I see their name all the time and I love what they are doing, but I've never just gone out and bought some products to road test. So when I was given the opportunity to road test of of Caudalie's Vinosource products, I just jumped at the chance. The Vinosource collection is aimed at women in their 20s, who like me, are focussed on getting hydration into their skincare. The range was created with the grape in mind, trying to recreate the joy of when you bite into a grape, packed with water and sweetness.

The Vinosource Collection is formulated with organic Grape water, which is thirst-quenching, moisturising and soothing on the skin. To create the grape water, fresh grapes are picked during the very first days of the harvest. The harvested grapes are then pressed and distilled using an exclusive Caudalie low-pressure process. This makes it possible to isolate water from the grape juice by evaporation, this water is combined with pure organic red grape juice to achieve Caudalie organic Grape water.

Grape water contains anti-oxidant Polyphenols and polysaccharides, which help the functioning of the skin barrier, helping your skin feel soothed and moisturised. The Caudalie organic Grape water also provides immediate hydration, as it easily penetrates into the skin’s cells to saturate them with water. Scientific tests also show that Caudalie organic Grape water soothes the skin, with the feeling of irritation being lowered and skin looking less inflamed.

Lets take a look at some Caudalie products, it feels right that we kick things off with Caudalie's Grape Water*. This is described as "a moisturising ally for all skin types" and it's one of the brand’s best-selling cult products around the world. You simply spritz this on the skin and the mist soothes, refreshes and moisturises. It's suitable even for really sensitive skin and you can use it at any time of day. It's formulated with 100% organic Grape water, and it is instantly absorbed by the skin. It's also formulated without preservatives or fragrances.

Next up we have Caudalie's Moisturizing Sorbet*, which is designed to give moisture to dehydrated, sensitive skin. This is a gel-cream which turns into a patch of water on contact with the skin, which is just so clever! It has notes mandarin blossom, lemon tree leaf, cucumber water and fresh mint, which are very non-invasive and leaves your skin feeling refreshed. It's main ingredients include organic Grape water, protecting Vinolevure, aqua-regulating complex, soothing chamomile, anti-oxidant grape Polyphenols. It's really lovely to use, it leaves a nice base for makeup and it leaves your skin feeling soft, soothed and moisturised.

I'm a bit of a serum addict at the moment, so I was pretty excited to try Caudalie's Vinosource S.O.S Thirst-Quenching Serum*. My skin use to be very oily and whilst it us still quite oily in my t-zone, my cheeks are becoming quite dehydrated. This serum is lightweight and oil-free, but it continuously captures and diffuses water deep within skin. This allows you to restore the moisture balance, plus leave your skin feeling refreshed, hydrated and soft. The best bit for me is that it has a fast absorbing formula, which means I can apply it before I do my makeup in the morning.

The last product pictured is not part of the Vinosource Collection, but I still wanted to give it a special mention. It's Caudalie's Glycolic Peel* which is a mask designed for treating a dull complexion. You simply apply this face mask twice a week to dry skin, you leave it for 10 minutes and then rinse it off with water. It is a renewal treatment which gives you an instant boost of radiance. It works like a scrub and a peel, removing the old and dead skin cells, giving you that new skin effect.

You can pick up any of these lovely products from the Caudalie website. I'd love to know your thoughts on these products if you've tried them, I'd also love to hear about your Caudalie recommendations, leave me a comment below!
