The Estée Lalonde Nail Art Kit contains three of the Colour Crush nail polishes from the range; Gorgeous Grey (slate grey-taupe shade which is perfect for this time of year), Got the Blue (a sky blue pastel shade) and Deeply in Love (a plum pink shade). The kit also has The Body Shop Nail Art Pen, which is actually a doubled sided dotting tool. Plus a double-sided card inside which houses two exclusive nail art designs.
The Colour Crush polishes are pretty unique, as they use a formula that is 100% vegan and the range is 5-free, which means they do not contain any nasty ingredients. They come packaged in a pretty round bottle, finished with a silver lid, which makes them simple and understated, yet really pretty. The formula offers a gloss formula (my personal favourite) and claim to have a 'quick-dry' formula.
Naturally as soon as these polishes arrived I had to put them to the test. I was incredibly impressed! First of all, I have to mention that the colours are stunning, they are all really vibrant and look really pretty on the nails. The formula is really pigmented, which means you can actually get away with just one coat. It’s quite thin in consistency, which makes it really easy to apply and it dries in record time. It has a really great staying power, which means chips are few and far between.
The Estée Lalonde Nail Art Kit is priced at £15 here, the Colour Crush nail polishes usually retail for £5 each, which means you essentially get the Nail Art Pen and the tutorials for free. The £15 actually includes a donation to the WaterAid charity, who help families in Ethopia to access safe water. One thing to note for the bargain hunters out there is that the Colour Crush nail polishes are normally exempt for being used with voucher codes. However, the Nail Art Kit can actually be used with a code, which means I actually picked up this set for £7.50 with a 50% off code, which obviously makes it an even better price and a great way to test the range.
