Bouncy Blusher from KIKO

You may have spotted my KIKO haul last month (catch up by clicking here), which is when the Rebel Romantic Bouncy Blush in ‘Treasure Rose’ joined my collection. I’ve slowly fallen in love with KIKO, I've watched release after release and made quite the wish list. I was initially drawn to the Bouncy Blusher by the pretty packaging, but what lies within is also exciting.

The Rebel Romantic Bouncy Blush in ‘Treasure Rose’ is something quite different, especially for my collection, but I think also for the wider beauty community. When you look at the blusher in the pan, it looks like a sponge. You half expect it to be a sponge that has been soaked in the pigment, but it's actually a very special formula.

KIKO actually describe the product as a "blush with a new sensory aspect" and it's completely true. Technically it's a lightweight powder, which has been made to be supple, soft and blendable. It's got a velvety feel to it and it actually feels like a cream blush as you touch it. In fact, I found that it actually works best to apply this with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, just like all my traditional cream blushers. With the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, you can apply the colour evenly to the cheeks and blend it out evenly.  The formula is incredibly pigmented, you really don't need much on the cheeks and it provides a lot of coverage with a small amount. The finish is matte, but it's not a drying matte shade, it's incredible wearable even when your skin is feeling dry.

The blusher comes packaged in a golden, fan-shaped compact, which also has a internal mirror, which makes it a great travel product. It's available in four amazing shades, including Treasure Rose, plus a Peach, a Pink and a Red Wine shade. It retails for £9.90 at the KIKO website and in stores, click here to pick it up
