The Poppy Picnic Palette from Tarte is a brand new addition to my makeup collection. I picked it up when I was last in America, I can never resist a limited edition palette!

The palette is a brand new product from Tarte for Spring 2015, featuring both eyeshadows and blushers, all infused with Amazonian Clay. Let's just take a dedicated moment to talk packaging shall we? WOW, this is just gorgeous (even if it is a pain to photograph)! A stunning gold palette base, topped with bright coral flowers with a purple outline. I've never seen anything quite like it! Tarte says the palette "celebrates the energy of summer floral hues", it's a beautiful accurate description.

The eyeshadows are all limited edition to the palette, so if you want them, you have to get them here. They are all matte and are perfect for this time of year; think sunsets on the beach. I love that the shades from Tarte are always named, this time they are themed with summer. Starting on the left there is; Summer Breeze (cream), Sweet Tea (a tan shade) and Ice Cream Cone (a chocolate shade). On the right hand side we have; Barefoot in the Grass (nude), Peach Poppy (a peach shade unlike anything else I own) and Picnic Basket (brown). They can create a variety of warm looks, I've been loving wearing Peach Poppy all over the lid, with Ice Cream Cone blended in the crease.

If that isn't enough, there's also a full-sized Amazonian Clay blusher in Glisten which is a beautiful peachy pink. I've been wearing this on low make-up days, it adds a pretty colour on the cheeks with dewy finish.

You cannot deny that the quality of Tarte products is fantastic. First of all, they are beautifully pigmented; you just have to dip your eyeshadow brush in the shades. They are also really easy to work with, as they blend really easily.

The Tarte Poppy Picnic Palette retails for $38 which is worth every penny to me. I know I will not be getting rid of this in a hurry. As always, the Tarte Poppy Picnic Palette is formulated without Parabens and Phthalates. You can pick it up in Sephora here
